PergoLux lists a price for every size. Here are its three current models at 10×13, a common patio size.

The two numbers aren’t like for like. The StruXure quote includes design, installation and usually the permit, while PergoLux’s price is the kit at your curb. StruXure shoppers talk mostly about the quote, and some choose a kit once they see it. Owners like the look and the features, and the complaints we found are mostly about individual dealers rather than the product.

PergoLux averages 4.2 stars from about 650 reviews on Trustpilot. Owners praise sturdy frames and helpful staff, and the complaints are mostly about delivery delays and missing parts, as our PergoLux review covers in more detail.

PergoLux comes in seven standard sizes from 10×10 to 13×19 feet. StruXure designs to your space: a single zone goes up to 12×20 feet (kits are sold at 12×20 too), and zones join together for anything larger or L-shaped. If your patio fits a PergoLux size, size isn’t a reason to pay for StruXure.

PergoLux ships boxes. It says two people can assemble it in three to seven hours, or you can pay for its assembly service. StruXure is only sold through local dealers, who handle the design, the quote, the permit and the installation, so the dealer you get matters as much as the product.

StruXure’s warranty is longer: 15 years on the frame and louvers, 10 on the manual parts and 5 on the motor, and it transfers to the next owner if you sell. But from year two you pay for the labor to remove and refit a part, and every claim goes through your dealer, so you’re relying on that business still being around.

PergoLux covers the frame for 10 years but the motor and moving parts for only 2, and the warranty doesn’t transfer. You deal with PergoLux directly. On a motorized roof, StruXure gives you more years on the part most likely to fail; PergoLux gives you a simpler route to a claim.

StruXure’s Pergola X has an independent ICC-ES evaluation report, which can make a permit easier where your building department asks for engineering. We found no such report for PergoLux. The StruXure report doesn’t cover high-seismic areas, special wind regions or South Florida’s hurricane zone, so ask your dealer how the design will be approved if you live in one.

PergoLux offers a 100-day trial that lets you return the pergola after it’s installed, though you pay the return shipping. A StruXure is custom-built for your site, so there’s no return once it’s up.

It is if you need what a kit can’t do: a roof bigger than 13×19, a custom shape, engineering paperwork for the permit, or a warranty that passes to the next owner. You’re paying for design, installation and someone else taking responsibility for the whole job.
