How much does a StruXure pergola cost?
StruXure doesn’t publish prices, but published estimates put an installed Pergola X at about $150 to $200 a square foot. That’s roughly $20,000 to $26,000 for a 10×13 and $29,000 to $38,000 for a 12×16, before screens, heaters or lights. If a standard size fits your patio, a motorized louvered kit costs about $3,300 to $15,000 at 10×13 before installation.

What a StruXure costs by size
StruXure only sells through local dealers, who design each system and quote after a site visit, and its own cost page says it can’t give a price before that. The published estimates we found, from HomeGuide and the cost site ThePricer, both put an installed Pergola X at $150 to $200 a square foot. Here is what that means at common sizes.
| Size (ft) | Area | Estimated installed cost |
|---|---|---|
| 10×10 | 100 sq ft | $15,000 to $20,000 |
| 10×13 | 130 sq ft | $19,500 to $26,000 |
| 12×12 | 144 sq ft | $21,600 to $28,800 |
| 12×16 | 192 sq ft | $28,800 to $38,400 |
| 12×20 | 240 sq ft | $36,000 to $48,000 |
| 13×19 | 247 sq ft | $37,050 to $49,400 |
| 16×20 | 320 sq ft | $48,000 to $64,000 |
| 20×20 | 400 sq ft | $60,000 to $80,000 |
At $150 to $200 per square foot installed, the range published by HomeGuide (May 2024) and ThePricer (July 2025). Your dealer’s quote may differ.
Treat these as a starting point, not a quote. ThePricer’s regional figures run from about $150 a square foot in the Midwest to about $200 in Northeast cities, and very large systems can come in a little lower per foot. A rival seller, The Luxury Pergola, puts a 12×16 at about $45,000 installed, above the range.
What the Cabana X shows about a quote
StruXure’s one product with a listed price is the Cabana X, a 10×10 motorized louvered unit you put up yourself. Patio Pelican lists it at $8,997, or $9,497 with lights, delivered but not installed. A dealer-installed 10×10 Pergola X is estimated at $15,000 to $20,000.
They aren’t the same product, so the gap isn’t all labor. But it gives you a feel for what a dealer adds: design, footings, wiring, the permit and two days of installation per zone. If a 10×10 fits your space and you’re handy, the Cabana X is the cheapest way to own a StruXure.
What pushes the price up
Size comes first. A single Pergola X zone has a maximum span, so a big patio means two or more zones joined together, each with its own posts and motor. Attaching it to the house, uneven ground and long runs for the electrics add labor.
Then come the extras, which StruXure doesn’t price either. ThePricer’s estimates are the only published figures: motorized screens $5,000 to $12,000, heaters $3,000 to $4,000, lighting $2,000 to $3,500, and rain and wind sensors $1,200 to $1,800. It also puts permits at $250 to $700 and stamped engineering at $900 to $1,400.
What the money buys
You are paying for a finished job as much as a roof. The dealer designs the system to your space, handles the permit, pours or sets the footings, runs the power and installs it, which StruXure says takes about two days per zone.
The warranty is longer than any kit’s: 15 years on the posts, beams, louvers and gutters, five on the motor and controls, and lifetime cover on the system against manufacturing defects. It transfers free to the next owner of your house. You must register within 30 days of installation, claims go through your dealer, and from the second year you pay for shipping and for removing and refitting the part.
The Pergola X also has an independent ICC-ES evaluation report, which can make a permit easier where your building department wants engineering. It doesn’t cover high-seismic areas, special wind regions or South Florida’s hurricane zone, so ask your dealer how approval works if you live in one.
What a louvered kit costs at the same size
If your patio fits a standard size, a motorized louvered kit gives you the same idea, louvers that open and close at the press of a button, for a fraction of the price. At 10×13 the kits below cost about $3,300 to $15,000, against an estimated $19,500 to $26,000 for a StruXure.
| Product | Size | Roof | Price | Per sq ft |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mirador 111S e-Motion | 10×13 ft | Motorized louvers | $3,299 | $25.38 |
| PergoLux Pergola 4 Pro | 10×13 ft | Motorized louvers | $6,995 | $53.81 |
| Hansø Horizon | 10×13 ft | Motorized louvers | $9,363 | $72.02 |
| PergoLux Pergola 4 Pro Max | 10×13 ft | Motorized louvers | $10,145 | $78.04 |
| Hansø Apex | 10×13 ft | Motorized louvers | $14,950 | $115.00 |

Bigger spaces narrow the gap but don’t close it. At 13×19, the largest size most of these kits come in, a StruXure is estimated at $37,050 to $49,400 installed, while the kits below cost about $12,600 to $22,000.
| Product | Size | Roof | Price | Per sq ft |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PergoLux Pergola 4 Pro | 13×19 ft | Motorized louvers | $12,595 | $50.99 |
| Hansø Horizon | 13×19 ft | Motorized louvers | $17,238 | $69.79 |
| PergoLux Pergola 4 Pro Max | 13×19 ft | Motorized louvers | $18,195 | $73.66 |
| Hansø Apex | 13×19 ft | Motorized louvers | $21,950 | $88.87 |

A kit price is the kit at your curb. Anchoring, a concrete pad if you have none, an outdoor outlet for the motor and paid assembly come on top, and our pergola cost guide adds them up. Even with all of it, a motorized kit usually lands well under a StruXure of the same size.
Which route suits you
Get a StruXure quote if your space is bigger than about 13×19 or an odd shape, it will attach to the house, or your building department wants engineering. It also suits you if you want one company to design, permit and install it and stand behind it for years.
Buy a kit if a standard size fits, you’re happy to assemble it or hire someone, and you would rather keep the difference. PergoLux and Hansø make the closest kits to a StruXure, with app control and ten years on the frame; Hansø’s Apex goes up to 13×26.
How to get a fair quote
Get more than one. Prices vary by dealer and region, and the other dealer-installed brands are worth a second quote: HomeGuide puts Azenco at about $80 to $120 a square foot and Equinox at about $65 to $100. Ask each dealer to itemize the zones, motor, screens, lights, footings, electrical work and permit, so you can compare like with like.
Ask who registers the warranty within the 30 days, how long the dealer has sold StruXure, and what happens to your deposit if the schedule slips. Lead times vary by dealer, so get the installation date in writing.

Questions
Is a StruXure pergola worth the money?
Yes, if you need what a kit can’t give you: a large or custom-shaped roof, engineering for the permit, one company handling everything, and a warranty that passes to the next owner. If a standard size fits your patio, a motorized kit does the same job for a fraction of the price.
How much does a StruXure cost per square foot?
About $150 to $200 a square foot installed, according to HomeGuide and ThePricer, before screens, heaters or lights. StruXure itself doesn’t publish prices, so your dealer’s quote is the only firm number.
How much is a StruXure Cabana X?
About $9,000 to $11,000 for the 10×10 unit, depending on lights and finish, as listed by Patio Pelican. That price is delivered but not installed: you assemble it, and footings and wiring are extra.
Does StruXure offer financing?
StruXure doesn’t publish a financing plan; each dealer sets its own. Ask about it when you get your quote, along with the deposit and the installation date.
How long does a StruXure take to install?
About two days per zone once the materials arrive, according to StruXure. Lead times before that vary by dealer, so ask for a date in writing.
