The Pergola Kit is an independent site. Some of the links that take you from our pages to a merchant are affiliate links. This page explains what that means.
How affiliate links work
When you follow an affiliate link and go on to make a qualifying purchase, the merchant may pay us a commission. The commission comes out of the merchant’s side of the sale. It does not increase the price you pay.
Not every merchant or brand on the site has an affiliate relationship with us. Where a product has no affiliate link, we link to the manufacturer’s own page instead, and the product is listed and described in exactly the same way.
Commission rates vary from one merchant to another, and we may add or end affiliate relationships over time. Neither changes how a product is treated on the site.
What affiliate relationships do not affect
Affiliate relationships have no bearing on:
- which brands we catalog
- which products are included in the database
- the product facts we record
- how products are ranked or ordered
- the badges a product earns
- our recommendations and buying guides
- our editorial conclusions about any product
Every brand is listed whether or not it earns us anything. Product facts are taken from the manufacturer’s own documents, and our recommendations rest on those facts. More about how we work is on the about page.
Prices and merchant terms
Prices, availability, shipping, returns and warranty handling are set by the merchant and can change without notice. The figures on our pages carry the date we last verified them, but the merchant’s own site is the only place to confirm the final price and terms before you buy.
