Privacy policy
The Pergola Kit is a reference site. You can use every part of it without creating an account or telling us who you are. This policy describes what the site does and does not collect.

Information collected automatically
Like almost every website, the servers that deliver our pages may record standard technical information about each request: the address of the page requested, the referring page, the time of the request, your IP address and basic details about your browser and device. Search terms and filter selections form part of the page address, so they can appear in those records too.
These server logs are kept by our hosting provider to run and secure the service. We do not use them to identify individual visitors or to build profiles.
Information you provide
The site has no accounts, contact forms, newsletter sign-up or comment features. We do not ask for your name, email address or any other personal details, and there is nowhere on the site to enter them.
Analytics and third-party services
We do not run any analytics service. No third-party scripts, tracking pixels, advertising networks or embedded content load when you view a page. Fonts and images are served from the site itself.
Affiliate links and other websites
Product pages link to manufacturers and merchants. Following one of those links takes you to another company’s website, and that company’s privacy policy applies from that point on. We do not control what it collects.
Some merchant links are affiliate links. They may include a reference that tells the merchant you arrived from The Pergola Kit, and the merchant may set a cookie on its own site to attribute a later purchase. That cookie is set by the merchant, after you have left our site, and is not something we place or can read. Our affiliate disclosure explains the commercial side.
Where data is stored
Our product database and product images are held with Supabase, a hosted database and file storage provider. The information there describes pergolas, not visitors. Our server reads from it to build each page.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share visitor data with advertisers.
Data retention
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected for, unless a longer period is required by law. For a site that collects nothing beyond technical server logs, that means those logs are kept for as long as the hosting provider needs them to run and secure the service.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information an organisation holds about you and to have it corrected or deleted. Because the site does not ask you for personal information and we do not build profiles of visitors, we currently hold nothing that could be returned, corrected or deleted on request. If that changes, this policy will be updated to say what we hold and how to reach us about it.
Children
The site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect the site and the data behind it. No method of transmission over the internet or of electronic storage can be guaranteed completely secure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes. When we do, the “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change. What the site does today is set out above; if we add features that collect more, this page will say so first.
