Aluminum pergolas
Buy an aluminum pergola for the roof, not the metal: most aluminum kits here have louvers, and the rest are sliding canopies. So the real questions are manual or motorized, and which of three price tiers. Erommy and Purple Leaf are the entry tier with one-year warranties (how the tiers compare); Mirador, Paragon and Yardistry sit in the middle; PergoLux, Hansø, BON and The Luxury Pergola are the top, and they are where the ten-year terms live.
Aluminum does not rot, does not need staining and takes a powder coat that most brands warrant separately from the frame. That is why it carries the moving roofs. What it does not do is make a cheap kit good: the one-year warranties on this page are on aluminum too. If you are set on a roof that closes, the louvered page is the same inventory sorted by mechanism.

Three tiers of aluminum, and what moves you up
| Tier | Brands | Roofs sold | Warranty as published |
|---|---|---|---|
| Entry | Erommy, Purple Leaf | Manual louvers, sliding canopies; one Erommy motorized kit | One year |
| Mid | Mirador Outdoor, Paragon Outdoor, Yardistry | Manual louvers, sliding canopies; motorized from Mirador and Paragon | Three to six years, often plus one on registration |
| Top | PergoLux, Hansø Home, BON Pergola, The Luxury Pergola | Manual and motorized louvers | Ten years on the structure; lifetime from The Luxury Pergola |
Electrical parts carry a shorter term than the structure at every brand that states one.
Each step up buys a longer warranty, a thicker inclusion list and a wider size ladder, in that order. Entry kits come with side curtains and hand cranks and a year of cover from the date of shipment. Mid-tier kits add double-layer louvers, integrated gutters, anchors in the box and terms that survive a second summer. The top tier adds smart controls, ten-year structural cover and, at PergoLux, a spec table that lists what is not included down to the bolts.
The tier you belong in is set by how long you expect the roof to work, not by the budget. A one-year term on a louvered roof is a bet that nothing moves after the first winter.
Manual or motorized, priced at 10×10
| Product | Size | Roof | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Erommy Louvered Pergola (manual) | 10×10 ft | Manual louvers | $999.99 |
| Erommy Smart Electric (motorized, 10×13) | 10×13 ft | Motorized louvers | $2,399.99 |
| Mirador 111DA (manual) | 10×10 ft | Manual louvers | $2,399 |
| Mirador 111S e-Motion (motorized, 10×13) | 10×13 ft | Motorized louvers | $3,299 |
| PergoLux Pergola 4 (manual) | 10×10 ft | Manual louvers | $6,490 |
| PergoLux Pergola 4 Pro (motorized) | 10×10 ft | Motorized louvers | $7,990 |
| Hansø Pro+ (manual) | 10×10 ft | Manual louvers | $3,978 |
| Hansø Horizon (motorized) | 10×10 ft | Motorized louvers | $4,867 |
Brand list prices, before tax, delivery and installation. Brands often run promotions, so check the live price before you order. Erommy and Mirador sell no motorized 10×10, so their motorized row is the nearest size. BON and The Luxury Pergola sell no manual kit.
On the September list prices the motor costs about a fifth more at PergoLux and Hansø and roughly double at Erommy, because the entry brands bundle lights and screens with the motor rather than selling it alone. Either way the motorized kit needs an outlet within reach, and PergoLux says so on the spec table. Budget the electrician before the motor.
Buy manual if the roof will sit mostly open and you are near enough to crank it. Buy motorized if you will close it every evening or want it on a rain sensor, and then read the electrical warranty term, which is the short one.
The nine frames that are aluminum and steel
Mirador’s S-series and two Erommy kits put galvanized steel posts under aluminum louvers or beams, and their spec tables say so. They are on this page because the roof and beams are aluminum, and on the steel page because the posts are not. The card reads "Aluminum + steel" so you are not surprised on delivery. What it means in use: heavier posts, and a coating on the steel that matters more than the coating on the aluminum.

The cheapest way into a Mirador louvered roof. Steel posts, aluminum louvers, anchors and a toolbox in the box, three years plus one on registration.

The all-aluminum step up: double-layer louvers and a year more cover. Buy this if you would rather not own steel posts.
What to watch for
- Three aluminum kits publish no warranty; all three are Purple Leaf sliding canopies.
- Hansø publishes no inclusion list at all. PergoLux lists anchoring bolts as not included. Mirador and Paragon include expansion bolts.
- Paragon states the Grand Tuscan warranty two ways on one page and the Signature is made to order with a starting price only.
- The Luxury Pergola lists a "from" price for a control package; the frame, louvers and posts are separate lines in the same order.
- Two of the aluminum louvered kits also retract, and four louvered kits do not state whether they are manual or motorized.
Alternatives that are not pergolas
The aluminum structures below are gazebos rather than pergolas. Mirador and Sunjoy build theirs under a fixed hardtop — the 111A Offset on an offset post layout, the Kingston under a vented two-tier roof in six sizes, and a handful of smaller Sunjoy models beside it. Erommy takes the other route, putting adjustable louvers over a barbecue and against a wall. They are here if a fixed roof or a grill shelter is what you actually want.
Questions
Is an aluminum pergola better than steel?
Different, not better. Aluminum carries the louvered roofs and the long warranties; all-steel kits on this site are canopy and open-slat frames at the entry end, from two brands. The metal page puts both side by side.
Which aluminum pergola brand has the longest warranty?
The Luxury Pergola states a lifetime, transferable warranty. PergoLux, Hansø and BON state ten years on the structure, with shorter terms on coatings and electrical parts.
Do aluminum pergola kits include anchoring hardware?
Mirador, Paragon and Erommy list anchors or expansion bolts as included. PergoLux lists them as not included on every family. BON includes footing plates and anchor hardware but not the foundation.
