WHAT THIS IS
Published aggregates from 8,494 list prices for pergola kits sold to US buyers,
from 73 companies, captured 24-27 September 2026. Kit prices in USD before tax,
shipping, footings and installation. No individual product listings are included.

Line 1 is the header row. Values are USD per square foot of nominal covered
area unless the table says USD (typical price at size).
One long-format table; the "table" column says which summary a row belongs to.

TABLES (values of the "table" column)
- category $/sq ft: median, quartiles, min and max $/sq ft by roof category
- $/sq ft by size band: median $/sq ft within size bands (e.g. <=100 sq ft, 101-150)
- typical price at size (USD): median and quartile kit price at common sizes (10x10, 12x12 ...)
- family $/sq ft (category too small for a median): product-family figures shown instead
- marketplace benchmark vs brand-direct, size-matched ($/sq ft)

METHOD (summary)
Categories are set by roof type first, frame second. Prices are for a complete,
usable kit: a required component with a public price is added; a kit whose
required component has no public price is excluded. Also excluded: bracket-only
and vinyl-sleeve kits, accessories, bundles, quote-only products, items out of
stock for more than 90 days, soft-top gazebos, arbors, and products named as
carports, sunrooms, sheds, awnings or patio covers. A median is published only
with at least 3 product families from 3 companies.
